Pilgrims spend second day of "Tashreeq"
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 01 - 01 - 2007

Pilgrims spent today the Second day of "Tashreeq" in Mina in an atmosphere of
tranquility and comfortable conditions, under the blessings of Allah's care and protection.
They are happy to witness and sense the great efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz and the Crown Prince and all security forces to serve them sincerely so as to enable them complete Hajj rituals in ease and comfort.
Those pilgrims who wish to hasten up the stoning ritual so as to leave Mina in two days, will stone three Jamarat
consecutively as they did on the first day of "Tashreeq". They will start throwing the pebbles first at "Al-sugra" (small) jamarah, then at "Al-Wosta" jamarah (middle) and finally "Al-Aqabah" jamarh following the guidance of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Then, these pilgrims will head for The Holy Mosque in Makkah to perform the farewell Tawaf (circumbulation) as Allah Says in the holy Quran:
Celebrate the praises of Allah
During the appointed days.
But if any one hastens
to leave in two days,
There is no blame on him
if his aim is to do right ,
Then fear God, and know
that ye will surely
Be gathered unto Him. (Surat Al-Baqara Verse-203)
However, pilgrims who wish to extend their stay in Mina for the third day of "Tashreeq" will carry out stoning the pebbles tomorrow in the same consecutive order at the Jamarat as they did on the first and second of "Tashreeq" days. After this, they will perform the "Tawaaf" of Farewell and leave the Holy Lands, Allah willing, in safety and with rewards.
Reporters of the Saudi Press Agency, witnessed the smooth movement of Pilgrims towards and out of Jamaraat Bridge, thanks to the security forces' efforts in coordination with "Tawafah" establishments in helping pilgrims to identify the specified routes of their destinations.
The reporters noticed also the presence of personnel of all sectors of security forces, who have been doing their assigned jobs sincerely to organize pilgrims' movement, prevent over-crowding and stampedes.
