Pakistani president meets top US army general

Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf met with the U.S. Army's chief of staff, Gen. Peter J. Schoomaker, on Friday to discuss boosting military cooperation in the volatile region, AP quoted a senior Pakistani army official as saying.
The U.S. general discussed the «latest situation in the region, strategic issues and professional matters,» the official said.
