THE HEALTH MINISTRY HAS EMPLOYED 9, 600 PERSONS, INCLUDING PHYSICIANS, NURSES, TECHNICIANS, DRIVERS AND WORKERS FOR THE SERVICE OF THE PILGRIMS. THE MINISTRY HAS ALSO READIED 21 HOSPITALS IN MAKKAH, MADINAH AND THE HOLY PLACES WITH A CAPACITY OF 3, 932 IN-PATIENT BEDS. THESE HOSPITALS INCLUDE SEVEN SPECIAL CLINICS WITH 800 BEDS CAPACITY FOR THE RECEPTION OF THE PATIENTS AT ARAFAT. THE MINISTRY HAS ALSO KEPT READY 65 SMALL AMBULANCES WHICH ARE EQUIPPED WITH THE MOST SOPHISTICATED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT. AN EMERGENCY TOWER HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED IN MINA WITH THE CAPACITY OF 182 BEDS. THE CAPACITY OF THE HOSPITALS AT MINA EXCEEDS 800 BEDS. THE HEALTH MINISTRY WILL COOPERATE WITH OTHER CONCERNED AUTHORITIES TO CARRY OUT THE GENERAL EMERGENCY PLAN FOR TACKLING CASES THAT MAY EMERGE DURING THE PILGRIMS' STANDING IN ARAFAT AND THEIR MOVEMENT FROM ARAFAT TO MUZDALIFAH.
