SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO OMAN ABDULLAH BIN ABDULRAHMAN A'LIM SAID THAT THE VISIT OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ TO OMAN ON SATURDAY AND THE VISIT OF OMAN'S SULTAN QABOOS BIN SAEED TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA LAST YEAR AIM TO FURTHER ENHANCE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES TO SERVE THEIR JOINT INTERESTS ON THE BASIS THAT THE STRENGTH OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL (GCC) IS THE KEY TO THE INFLUENCE OF THE GCC MEMBER STATES.
IN A PRESS STATEMENT, HE APPRECIATED THE KING'S STANDS AT THE REGIONAL, ARAB AND INTERNATIONAL ARENAS, NOTING THE KING'S SUPPORT FOR THE ISSUES OF ARAB AND ISLAMIC COUNTRIES.
