Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo grounded the official aircraft of his deputy, disrupting his holiday, in an intensifying power struggle between the two, the vice president's office said on Thursday, according to Reuters. Obasanjo personally instructed the head of Lagos airport not to allow the Gulf Stream executive jet to take off after formally approving a two-week holiday for Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the office said. Information Minister Frank Nweke said he could not comment on the issue.
