CROWN PRINCE SULTAN BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE DEPUTY PREMIER, DEFENSE AND AVIATION MINISTER AND INSPECTOR GENERAL, HAS RECEIVED THE GOLDEN MEDAL OF IBN SINA PRESENTED BY THE UNITED NATIONS EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATION (UNESCO) IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SUPPORT TO THE BUDGET OF THE ARABIC LANGUAGE AT UNESCO AS WELL AS HIS HUMANITARIAN AND CULTURAL EFFORTS. THE MEDAL WAS DELIVERED TO PRINCE SULTAN BY MINISTER OF EDUCATION DR ABDULLAH AL-OBAID AND THE KINGDOM'S REPRESENTATIVE AT UNESCO DR ZIAD AL-DEREIS DURING A MEETING HERE LAST NIGHT. IT IS WORTH MENTIONING THAT PRINCE SULTAN DONATED $1 MILLION TO UNESCO SO AS TO ENABLE THE ARABIC LANGUAGE ENJOY THE SAME STATUS BEING ENJOYED BY OTHER LANGUAGES AT THE UNESCO. THE MEETING WAS ATTENDED BY ALI AL-HUDEITHI, THE CHIEF OF THE COURT OF THE CROWN PRINCE, AND MOHAMMED AL-MURRI, THE SPECIAL SECRETARY OF THE CROWN PRINCE.
