Refugee boat capsizes in Sri Lanka, 1 killed, 6 missing

A boat transporting ethnic Tamil refugees capsized off eastern Sri Lanka on Friday, leaving one child dead and six people missing, a hospital spokesman and witnesses said.
The refugees were fleeing the rebel-held village Vaharai in eastern Batticaloa district, where there have been heavy clashes between government troops and Tamil Tiger rebels, the Associated Press reported.
