SPOKESMAN FOR THE IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY MOHAMMED ALI HUSSEINI HAS REFUTED THE STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE FOREIGN MINISTERS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION (EU) ON HUMAN RIGHTS IN IRAN. 'THE STATEMENT WHICH IS SATURATED WITH POLITICAL MOTIVES CONTRADICTS WITH FACTS AND REALITY IN IRAN', SAID HUSSEINI IN A STATEMENT CARRIED BY THE IRANIAN MEDIA. HE NOTED THAT OFFICIALS WHO ARE IN CHARGE OF THE ISSUE OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE EU OVERLOOK VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN SOME PLACES AND SHED LIGHT ON THEM IN OTHER PLACES FOR SERVING THEIR OWN POLITICAL AND PROPAGATION PURPOSES. 'IRAN IN LINE WITH THE ISLAMIC TEACHINGS, CONSTITUTION AND RECOGNIZED INTERNATIONAL COMMITMENTS HAS BEEN DOING ITS BEST TO PROMOTE THE CONCEPTS OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND BASIC LIBERTIES PERTAINING TO INDIVIDUALS AND SOCIETY', HE ELABORATED. POINTING OUT TO THE PHENOMENON OF ISLAM PHOBIA, RACIAL DISCRIMINATION , VIOLENCE AGAINST MINORITIES AND SECRET DETENTION CAMPS IN THE EUROPEAN TERRITORIES, HUSSEINI EXPRESSED ANXIETY OVER ANTI HUMAN RIGHTS PRACTICES IN EUROPE.
