The German Defence Ministry said Tuesday it was rushing extra armoured trucks to its troops serving with NATO forces in Afghanistan, AP reported. A total of 100 "Dingo" armoured trucks will be delivered to troops in Afghanistan this year. Previously it had been planned to supply 33 Dingo vehicles to German forces. The Dingo is 4.4-ton armoured truck with space for up to seven people. It is similar in size and capability to the US Hummer. Germany has about 2,700 soldiers serving with NATO's 32,000 troops in Afghanistan.
