Saudi Aramco has scooped up the "Project of the Year" award at Pipeline magazine's sixth annual Excellence in Energy Awards at Abu Dhabi's Armed Forces Officers' Club. Saad A. Turaiki, executive director of Southern Area Gas Operations, and Mohammad I. Assaf, manager of Gas and NGL Planning and Marketing accepted recently the award on behalf of Saudi Aramco. The company was recognized for its mega projects, which are part of the largest expansion in its history and encompass crude-oil, refining and petrochemicals production, said Eileen Michael, publisher of Reflex Publishing, which organizes the awards through its Pipeline magazine. "This award underscores the company's continuing leadership in the global energy industry and is proof of its commitment toward creating one of the world's best oil and gas facilities," Michael said.
