Published in Saudi Press Agency on 02 - 12 - 2006

AN OFFICIAL SOURCE OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR SAID THE SECURITY FORCES WERE ABLE TO MONITOR AND FOLLOW-UP A NUMBER OF SUSPICIOUS MOVEMENTS BY THOSE RELATED TO THE DEVIANT GROUP WHO BECAME TOOLS AT THE HANDS OF OTHERS, DEFAMING THEIR RELIGION, SOCIETY AND NATION, ACCUSING OTHERS OF BEING INFIDELS, THUS JUSTIFYING THEIR KILLING AND CONFISCATION OF THEIR PROPERTIES AND MONEY, LURING YOUNGSTERS AND RECRUITING THEM TO TRAVEL TO UNSTABLE REGIONS, UNCOVERING THE WANTED, AND FINANCING THEIR OPERATIONS TARGETING THE NATION'S SECURITY, ABILITIES AND MIGHT.
INVESTIGATIONS REVEALED THE LINK BETWEEN THIS DEVIANT GROUP INSIDE AND FOREIGN ELEMENTS WHO TOOK THE CHANCES OF MOVEMENT OF MUSLIM VISITORS AND UMRAH IN THE KINGDOM TO SEND INFILTRATORS OUTSIDE FOR TRAINING AND REPATRIATING THEM INSIDE AGAIN TO ACHIEVE THEIR EVIL DREAMS OF CREATING AN INSTABLE SITUATION .
ACCORDING TO COLLECTED INFORMATION, THE FOLLOWING STEPS HAVE BEEN TAKEN:
FIRSTLY: A PREEMPTIVE OPERATION IN RIYADH ON 19/8/1427 H. RESULTED IN THE ARREST OF 31 PERSONS, INCLUDING FOUR EXPATRIATES AND SAUDIS. LATER, IT WAS REVEALED THAT THEY HAVE FORMED A SECRET CELL INCLUDING SEVEN ELEMENTS PLANNING TO CARRY OUT AN OPERATION ON 27/5/1427H., A PLAN FOILED AND ANNOUNCED IN DUE COURSE. SOME OF THE SUSPECTS EVEN WROTE THEIR WILLS, GIVING EXCUSES WHY THEY WOULD GO SUICIDE.
SECONDLY: ON 18/9/1427H., A GROUP OF SIX SAUDIS IN AL-JOAF REGION, WHO USED THEIR FAMILIES TO PROVIDE COVER-UP FOR SOME WANTED AND SMUGGLE THEM OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY WAS ARRESTED.
THIRDLY: A FIVE MULTINATIONAL CELL, INCLUDING ONE SAUDI, WAS ARRESTED AFTER HAVING FORMED A COVER-UP FOR A SENIOR WANTED WHO WAS LATER KILLED AT A SECURITY OPERATION AT ALMUBARAKIA NEIGHBORHOOD IN DAMMAM ON 30/7/1426 H. WHICH WAS ANNOUNCED IN DUE COURSE.
FOURTHLY: ON 22/9/1427 H., 16 SUSPECTS, INCLUDING TWO EXPATRIATES AND SAUDIS, WERE APPREHENDED IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE KINGDOM, INCLUDING MAKKAH, RIYADH, JAZAN AND AL-JOAF. THEY WERE FOUND LINKED WITH MEDIATORS OUTSIDE WHO PROVIDE TRAINING AND SENDING THE ELEMENTS INSIDE AGAIN.
