Turkey is determined to press ahead with EU bid

Turkey said Thursday that it was determined to press ahead with its European Union
membership bid.
«We are determined to continue on our EU path,» said Namik Tan, spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry. «We have an arduous road in front of us,» he was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
