NAIMI SAID THE KINGDOM IS KEEN ON THE CONTINUITY OF PETROLEUM AS THE MAJOR SOURCE OF ENERGY. HE NOTED THAT THE KINGDOM IS KEEN ON THE STABILITY OF THE OIL MARKET, AND SAID STABILITY WILL BE REALIZED THROUGH COOPERATION BETWEEN OIL PRODUCERS AND CONSUMERS. HE POINTED OUT THAT THE KINGDOM HAS BEEN MAINTAINING CLOSE PETROLEUM COOPERATION WITH A NUMBER OF COUNTRIES LIKE THE US, BRITAIN, CHINA, THE EU COUNTRIES, JAPAN, SOUTH AFRICA, INDIA, SRI LANKA, PAKISTAN, PHILIPPINES AND (SOUTH) KOREA. HIGHLIGHTING THE IMPORTANCE OF RIYADH-BASED INTERNATIONAL ENERGY FORUM, HE SAID IT AIMS AT CEMENTING COOPERATION BETWEEN CONSUMERS AND PRODUCERS. AL-NAIMI DESCRIBED SAUDI ARAMCO COMPANY AS ONE OF THE BEST PETROLEUM COMPANIES IN THE WORLD. HE NOTED THAT THE SAUDIS WORKING AT SAUDI ARAMCO CONSTITUTE 87 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL NUMBER. AL-NAIMI SAID THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND MINERAL RESOURCES HAS BEEN ENCOURAGING THE SAUDI PRIVATE SECTOR TO ESTABLISH INDUSTRIES AND SERVICES LINKED WITH THE ENERGY SECTOR. IN THE NEXT DECADE, AL-NAIMI SAID THE KINGDOM'S PRODUCTION OF PETROCHEMICALS WILL JUMP TO 15 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL WORLD PRODUCTION.
