Minister of Finance Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf received here today the Saudi ambassadors accredited abroad. In an address on the occasion, Al-Assaf briefed the envoys on the Finance Ministry's comprehensive efforts to project the image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in economic sector abroad and the Ministry's contribution to communicate with the rest of the world countries in this context. He also highlighted facilities offered by the Ministry that promote investment and commercial exchanges. Al-Assaf noted the efforts of the Ministry to establish Free trade zones between the Kingdom and the world states. In this context, he cited the free trade zones between member countries of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which has been now transformed into a unified customs project. He also mentioned the progress of constant dialogues to establish free trade zones between the GCC countries and the European Union, Australia, China, India, Pakistan and New Zealand. Al-Assaf pointed to the Kingdom joining the World Trade Organization (WTO) which he said it would facilitate further Saudi Arabia's commercial exchanges with the rest of world. He said the Kingdom also signed the double-taxation agreement with France, China and India, adding that Saudi Arabia is now finalizing the agreement with Russia, Hungary and Czech republic. --MORE
