After three days of meetings geared toward increasing cooperation on various issues that affect national oil companies (NOCs), the 4th NOC Forum has been concluded, bringing to a close the discussions that centered on human resources and sharing best practices. The 4th NOC Forum, hosted by Saudi Aramco, was attended by the chief executives, or their designees, of more than 20 NOCs. The first NOC Forum gathering was hosted by Algeria in 2002, followed by Norway in 2003 and Brazil in 2005. The 5th NOC Forum will be held in China in April 2008. The forum series confirms the commitment of the attendees to work toward increasing cooperation on shared challenges to help the oil and gas industry better meet the global community's needs.
