The 16th meeting of the Saudi-British joint committee specialized in the field of sports and youth welfare, concluded today its three-days works at the headquarters of the British Foegn Office in London. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between Saudi Arabia and Britain on implementing some of sports and youth activities for the upcoming year 2007. It has also been agreed on preparing training programs in the Institute for Leadership Training in Riyadh for the benefit of referees, coaches and players as well as courses in the field of sports medicine, media and publishing, physical education and sport installations management. The Saudi British Joint Committee has decided to hold its 17th meeting in Riyadh in mid-October or November 2007. The Saudi delegation was led by the Undersecretary of the Youth Welfare Dr. Saleh bin Ahmed bin Nasser. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the meeting, Dr. Saleh bin Nasser said that these programs are in completion of the agreement signed by Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz in 1987 at the headquarters of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare in Riyadh with David Miller, who was Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Britain at that time in order to support cooperation in the field of sports between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Britain. --MORE
