The Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) and a South-Korean firm M/s Poongsan have signed a cooperation agreement for co-production of 155 mm base bleed DPICM k-310 artillery ammunition, says an official statement. The accord was signed at the International Defense Exhibition and seminar (IDEAS) being held at the Karachi Expo centre. On behalf of the POF the agreement was inked by Chairman Lt-Gen Syed Sabahat Hussain and on behalf of the Korean firm its president Moon Won Lee signed the agreement. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz witnessed the signing ceremony. According to the agreement, the production of this state of the art ammunition would be undertaken at POF at Wah Cantonment in 2007.
