THE SAUDI-AUSTRALIAN JOINT COMMITTEE CONCLUDED ITS EIGHTH SESSION HERE TODAY. DR HASHIM BIN ABDULLAH YAMANI, THE MINISTER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY AND WARREN TRUSS, AUSTRALIAN TRADE MINISTER AND MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT SIGNED THE SESSION'S FINAL MINUTES INCLUDING A NUMBER OF RECOMMENDATIONS ON ENHANCING ECONOMIC AND COMMERCIAL BILATERAL RELATIONS. THEY LAID STRESS ON SIMPLIFICATION OF MEASURES AND REGULATIONS AIMING TO REDUCE TIME OF OBTAINING VISAS. THE COMMITTEE SET COOPERATION OPPORTUNITIES IN VARIOUS FIELDS, CALLING FOR PROMOTING THE BUSINESS SECTORS IN THE TWO COUNTRIES TO INVEST IN THESE FIELDS. THE NEXT SESSION WILL BE HELD IN AUSTRALIA ON A DATE TO BE AGREED ON LATER BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES.
