UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ, THE FOUNDING COUNCIL OF THE MUSLIM WORLD LEAGUE HELD HERE TODAY ITS 39TH SESSION.
THE SESSION WAS CHAIRED BY SHEIKH ABDULAZIZ BIN ABDULLAH AL ALSHEIKH, THE GRAND MUFTI OF SAUDI ARABIA AND PRESIDENT OF THE FOUNDING COUNCIL OF THE MWL. MINISTER OF ISLAMIC AFFAIRS, ENDOWMENTS, DAWA AND GUIDANCE SHEIKH SALIH BIN ABDULAZIZ AL ALSHEIKH ATTENDED THE MEETING.
ON BEHALF OF THE KING, THE MINISTER DELIVERED A SPEECH IN WHICH HE FOCUSED ON THE CHALLENGES CURRENTLY FACING THE ISLAMIC UMMAH (NATION). THE KING URGED FOR ISLAMIC SOLIDARITY AND COLLECTIVE WORK IN DEALING WITH ISSUES CONCERNING THE UMMAH.
THE KING STRESSED THAT SAUDI ARABIA'S POLICY TOWARD THE UMAH IS FIRM AND CLEAR. IT AIMS AT UNITY OF MUSLIMS BASED ON THE HOLY QURAN AND SUNNAH, THE KING SAID, ADDING THAT SAUDI ARABIA IS KEEN TO SUPPORT MUSLIMS' JUST CAUSES AND DEFEND THEIR LEGITIMATE RIGHTS.
