The commander of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon, Alain Pellegrini, has called on Israel to end its frequent overflights over Lebanon, warning that Hezbollah would "not remain indifferent" for long, according to DPA. In an interview with French daily Le Figaro published Saturday, Pellegrini, warned that "when a country violates the airspace of another country, that's a hostile act." The Israeli reconnaissance flights violate UN Resolution 1701, which paved the way for the end of a month-long war between Israel and Hezbollah in August. Pellegrini discounted the use of force by the UN against Israel or Hezbollah as a "last resort."
