A Lebanese farmer was killed and another was injured when an Israeli cluster bomb left over from last summer's conflict exploded in their field, police said Saturday, according to DPA. Mohammed Rizk, 36, was killed, while the other man, who was not identified, was injured while they were gathering olives in their field in the southern village of Kfar Roumman, 56 kilometers south of Beirut, police said. Since August 14 when the 33-day Israeli war ended in southern Lebanon, 23 people have been killed and another 137 injured by cluster bomb explosions, according to police sources. Israel dropped hundreds of thousands of cluster bombs over southern Lebanon during the war.
