Under directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques 11 new psychiatric health hospitals, each with a capacity ranging between 200 to 300 beds, will be established in main regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to Health Minister Dr Hamad Al-Manei. In a statement to SPA here last night, Dr Al-Manei said these hospitals will cost more than SR. One billion, adding that these will be established in the upcoming three years. "The new hospitals will add about 1, 800 beds, and that this additional facility will be reserved for psychiatric health treatment," the minister said. All these new hospitals will carry the name of "Al-Amal Complexes" for psychiatric health and combating addicts.
