Pakistan's security forces backed by helicopter gunships killed nearly eighty militants in a Madressa (religious seminary) in the tribal area of Bajaur Agency in a pre-dawn operation Monday, a senior military official said. "We successfully destroyed a training camp of miscreants at Khar area of Bajaur Agency, killing several militants," Pakistan Army spokesman Maj-Gen Shaukat Sultan said. He said the precise number of the causalities is yet to be confirmed. The body count is yet to be known, he said, but added that around 70 to 80 terrorists were reported present in the camp when it was destroyed. Sultan said that the security forces destroyed the camp in Chenagai village near the town of Khar. Some injured persons caught from the camp were admitted in a hospital.
