SOUS-BOIS, France (SPA) _ Marauding youths torched two buses and targeted police and firefighters in scattered violence across France on the first anniversary of the start of nationwide riots, but on Saturday morning the Interior Ministry said the night had been «relatively calm.» Six police officers were lightly injured and 25 people were arrested, the ministry said. Police had deployed 4,000 reinforcements Friday night to brace for a replay of violence in mostly poor, immigrant suburbs a year after the death of two teens that ignited three weeks of riots in 2005, the Associated Press reported.
