Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of Ismaili community, is paying an official visit to Pakistan from November 2 on the invitation of President General Pervez Musharraf, officials said. He would hold meetings with Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. Regional situation, the challenges being faced by the Muslim Ummah, investment opportunities in Pakistan, social welfare projects and reconstruction and rehabilitation of the earthquake-devastated areas will come under discussion during these meetings, officials said. The president and the prime minister will host a banquet and luncheon in his honour. Prince Karim will preside over a meeting to review a plan to increase accommodation facility in a five-star hotel in Islamabad that he owns. He will visit Northern Areas of Pakistan on November 3 and 4 to inspect welfare projects being run by the Aga Khan Foundation. Prince Karim will also meet representatives and followers of Ismaili community in Islamabad.
