A statement issued yesterday by the Royal Court said "after reviewing the basic governing system under royal decree No. A/90, dated 27/08/1412 AH as well as a system of Commission for pledge of allegiance and determining what is best for the public interest, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-aziz ordered the following: Firstly: the approval of the system of Commission for pledge of allegiance with the accompanying text. Secondly: Correction of Clause-C under the 5th article of the basic governing system, which was issued under royal decree No. A/90, dated 27/08/1412 AH to be as follows: C- An invitation to the pledge of allegiance to the King and choosing of the Crown Prince under the system of Commission for pledge of allegiance. Thirdly: This system of Commission for pledge of allegiance will work in future situations and its regulations are not applicable for the present King and his Crown Prince. Fourthly: This order will be notified to special bodies for its implementation and execution.
