A subway train slammed into the back of another at a station in central Rome during morning rush hour on Tuesday, killing at least one passenger and injuring more than 100, according to AP. Stunned and panicked passengers emerged from the station covered in blood and dust. Witnesses said that thick smoke filled the station as people screamed and ran. Some remained trapped in the wreckage for hours.
