PRESIDED OVER BY ITS CHAIRMAN SHEIKH DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH BIN HOMAID, THE SHOURA COUNCIL APPROVED IN ITS ORDINARY SESSION HERE TODAY THE RIGHT OF THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR TO CHOOSE AN OFFICIAL OF THE MINISTRY TO AUTHORIZE HIM TO GRANT THE SAUDI CITIZENSHIP TO A FOREIGN WOMAN WHO IS MARRIED TO A SAUDI OR TO A FOREIGN WIDOW OF A SAUDI.
IN A STATEMENT TO THE SAUDI PRESS AGENCY, THE COUNCIL'S SECRETARY GENERAL DR. SALIH BIN ABDULLAH ALMALIK SAID THAT THE COUNCIL ALSO ENDORSED THE 16-ARTICLE DRAFT REGULATION OF COMBATING DATA CRIMES AIMING AT PROTECTING DATA SECURITY AND FIGHTING CRIMES PERTAINING TO COMPUTERS AND THE INTERNET.
