Sudan's foreign ministry on Thursday said it would welcome a visit by a U.S. special envoy to the African country, saying it hoped it could improve relations between the two nations, AP reported. Special envoy Andrew Natsios is scheduled to travel to Sudan later this month and has applied for his visa, said U.S. State Department spokesman Tom Casey. In a statement released Thursday, Sudan's Foreign Ministry said Natsios would be granted a visa. Sudan «welcomes the mission of the U.S. envoy provided it is a constructive mission based on a constructive program,» the statement said.
