SAUDI AMBASSADOR TO JAPAN FAISAL BIN HASSAN TARRAD HELD HERE YESTERDAY EVENING AN IFTAR PARTY IN HONOR OF SAUDI STUDENTS AND MEMBERS OF THE SAUDI COMMUNITY IN JAPAN. THE IFTAR PARTY WAS ATTENDED BY SAUDI COMMERCIAL ATTACHE MOHAMMED AL-JANDOUL, ACTING DIRECTOR OF TOKYO-BASED ARAB-ISLAMIC INSTITUTE ESSAM MIRZA, AND DIRECTORS OF THE OFFICES OF SAUDI ARAMCO IN JAPAN. SPEAKING FOLLOWING THE IFTAR PARTY, THE SAUDI AMBASSADOR REITERATED THE KEENNESS OF THE EMBASSY ON MEETING THE SAUDI STUDENTS AND WORKING TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS. HE NOTED THAT THE EMBASSY WILL DO ITS BEST TO REMOVE ALL OBSTACLES AND DIFFICULTIES THAT MIGHT FACE THE MEMBERS OF THE SAUDI COMMUNITY IN JAPAN. THE AMBASSADOR SAID ABOUT 400 SAUDI STUDENTS (INCLUDING FEMALE STUDENTS) HAVE BEEN ENROLLED FOR OBTAINING THEIR UNIVERSITY STUDIES IN JAPAN. HE POINTED OUT THAT THE STUDENTS WILL START EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY, 2007, LEARNING THE JAPANESE LANGUAGE PRIOR TO THEIR REGISTRATION AT THE JAPANESE UNIVERSITIES. AT THE END OF THE IFTAR PARTY, THE SAUDI STUDENTS PRESENTED A MEMORIAL PRESENT TO AMBASSADOR FAISAL TARRAD IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THE SERVICE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SAUDI COMMUNITY IN JAPAN.
