Pakistan's air force on Monday announced the signing of an agreement between the Pakistani and U.S. governments for Washington to provide 18 new F-16 fighter jets to the Muslim nation. The deal also includes the supply of upgraded used F-16s, upgrades of Pakistan's current fleet of 32 F-16s and air-to-air and air-to-ground weaponry, the air force said in a statement. It said the two governments signed the letter of acceptance on Saturday, but it did not say when the new fighters would be delivered to Pakistan, the Associated Press reported.
