AT THE OUTSET OF THE SESSION, THE MONARCH RENEWED HIS CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, ARAB AND MUSLIM NATIONS ON THE OCCASION OF THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN, PRAYING TO ALMIGHTY ALLAH TO HELP MUSLIMS IN FASTING THIS MONTH AND IN PERFORMING PRAYERS AT ITS NIGHT. ON THIS OCCASION, THE MONARCH CALLED ON ARAB AND MUSLIM NATIONS TO SERIOUSLY SEEK SOLIDARITY AND COHESION FOR THEIR GOOD AND INTERESTS IN RELIGIOUS AND WORLDLY MATTERS. THE KING SAID THAT ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF LOVE AND MODERATION, NOTING THAT ITS SUPREME VALUES REJECT EXAGGERATION, EXTREMISM AND INTROVERSION, AND CALL FOR MUTUAL RESPECT, UNDERSTANDING AND EQUALITY TO BUILD A WORLD OF TOLERANCE, COOPERATION, PEACE AND TRUST AMONG NATIONS. IN THIS REGARD, KING ABDULLAH RECITED THE TEN-POINT WORKING PROGRAM ENDORSED BY LEADERS OF THE MUSLIM WORLD AT THE EXTRAORDINARY SUMMIT IN MAKKAH, STRESSING THAT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PROMOTING DIALOGUE-- INCLUDING DIALOGUE AMONG RELIGIONS AND HIGHLIGHTING COMMON VALUES AND DENOMINATORS-- SHOULD BE SHOULDERED BY ALL FOR PROVING THE REAL VALUES OF ISLAM AND FOR REAL MUSLIMS TO CONTRIBUTE TO CONFRONTING EXTREMISM, EXAGGERATION, TERRORISM AND EVERY MATTER INFRINGING ON RELIGIONS. --MORE
