Chairman of Mauritanian Military Council for Democracy and Justice Ely Ould Mohamed Vall received here yesterday the special Ambassador of the World Food Program (WFP) Abdulaziz Al-Rakban and the Saudi accompanying delegation. In a statement to SPA, Al-Rakban said that his visit comes within the framework of a tour around West African countries, highlighting the Saudi role and support to the world peoples and pointing out that Saudi Arabia granted $ 10 million to the drought-affected countries, and that Mauritania's share will be $2 million. He added that the kingdom, WFP and other countries will cooperate with the Nutritional Security Commission in Mauritania to execute future projects for those affected people. WFP delegation led by Al-Rakban held a meeting with the Mauritanian Delegate in charge of nutritional security. The meeting discussed the ways of distributing the nutritional goods granted by the Saudi government to the affected people. --More
