Turki visited here today Kyrgyzstan Parliament's Speaker Murad Sultanov who welcomed Dr. Al-Turki and expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its pioneering role in international arenas. Sultanov called the MWL to forge greater cooperation with his country to bolster the relations among Islamic countries in general and between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia in particular. On his part, Dr. Al-Turki said that MWL was established to bring about unity among all Muslims, coordinate their efforts, bolster stability, support dialogue among cultures, and defuse tensions and conflicts, pointing out to MWL's readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in all spheres. Dr Al-Turki also visited Deputy Speaker of Kyrgyzstan's Parliament Erkin Bic Alem Bicov and discussed with him issues related to Muslims in Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Al-Turki expressed his keenness to hold the conference of Muslims of the Central Asia and their cultural impact soon, hoping that such a conference achieves the target goals to broaden the relations among Islamic countries. On his part, Bicov highlighted the efforts of the Saudi government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Twp Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz to serve Islam and Muslims all over the world. Dr. Al-Turki expressed his gratitude to Kyrgyzstan's President Kurmanbek Bakiyev for patronizing this conference emphasizing that it will be scientific and cultural and that it will assess the efforts of the Islamic cultural studies in the region.
