Yemeni anti-malaria committee will hold here today its second meeting with the participation of delegations from Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and representatives of the executive bureau of the council of the GCC Health Ministers. Director of the National anti-malaria program Dr. Jamal Omran said that the meeting will discuss the financial issues pertaining to the implementation of the program of "Arabian Peninsula Free from Malaria by 2015'. He pointed out that the extraordinary plan for combating malaria is supposed to begin by 2007. 'The participants of the meeting will review the required financial allocations and obligations by the GCC member states to realize the desired goal', he said. Omran noted that the meeting will discuss also means for enabling the Gulf Anti-Malaria Committee to perform its mission in combating malaria at the gulf level.
