COMMENTING ON THE CABINET'S APPROVAL TODAY TO PRINT AND MINT THE NEW VERSION OF THE SAUDI CURRENCY, HAMAD BIN SAUD ALSAYARI, THE GOVERNOR OF THE SAUDI ARABIAN MONETARY AGENCY (SAMA) ANNOUNCED THAT THE CURRENCY WILL BE CIRCULATED BY THE BEGINNING OF THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE YEAR 1428 H. IN A STATEMENT, HE SAID THE NEW ISSUE WILL EXPOSE THE CIVILIZATIONAL PROFILE OF THE KINGDOM AND THE BLESSED RENAISSANCE WITNESSED BY THE COUNTRY DURING THE CURRENT ERA OF THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ. HE CONFIRMED THAT THE NEW ISSUE WAS DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE LATEST TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING THE SECURITY SPECIFICATION THAT CONSOLIDATES THE CONFIDENCE OF NATIONAL CURRENCY DEALERS. ALSAYARI NOTED THAT SAMA WOULD PROVIDE DETAILED INFORMATION ON THE NEW ISSUE BEFORE CIRCULATING IT ON THE MARKET, NOTING THAT ALL BANKNOTES AND COINS CURRENTLY IN USE WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE WITHOUT ANY EFFECT ON THEIR VALUE.
