Mauritius and Pakistan have opened their fourth round of negotiations focusing agreement over preferential exchanges and economic cooperation, says an official statement. Representatives of both sides have submitted their respective lists of products to be included in the appendices of the protocol, which is already ready. The Mauritian request mainly focuses on pullovers, trousers, shirts and T-shirts. Import customs duties for these products are 25 percent on the average and Mauritius would like to be exempted. Mauritian demands also concern the export of sugar, sea products, fruits and precious stones, among other things.
