France responded Sunday to Lebanese objections over the French-US draft UN resolution on the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah by reminding Beirut that an agreement always requires two partners, DPA reported. "Of course we have taken into consideration the Lebanese prime minister's questions and thoughts, but Lebanon has to understand that an agreement only can exist for two, that is, with the agreement of Israel," French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy told French radio broadcaster RTL. Douste-Blazy was speaking hours after having conferred with Lebanese premier Fuad Seniora by phone.
