THE UNITED NATIONS IS EVACUATING ITS UNARMED
OBSERVERS FROM AREAS AT THE BORDER WITH ISRAEL, SPOKESMAN IN SOUTHERN
LEBANON MILOS STRUGER SAID FRIDAY.
"WE BROUGHT THE UN OBSERVERS FROM FOUR POSTS NEAR THE BORDER
WITH ISRAEL TO THE UNIFIL BASE IN NAQOURA FOR THEIR SAFTEY," STRUGER
TOLD DEUTSCHE PRESSE-AGENTUR DPA.
FOUR OBSERVERS WERE KILLED IN ISRAELI SHELLING TWO DAYS AGO ON
ONE OF THE POSTS.
