AT LEAST NINE ISRAELI SOLDIERS WERE KILLED IN HEAVY FIGHTING WITH HIZBOLLAH FIGHTERS IN SOUTH LEBANON ON WEDNESDAY, ARAB TELEVISIONS SAID.
AL JAZEERA TELEVISION SAID NINE SOLDIERS WERE KILLED IN BINT JBEIL VILLAGE, WHILE AL ARABIYA TELEVISION SAID AT LEAST 12 SOLDIERS WERE KILLED. THEY GAVE NO FURTHER DETAILS, ACCORDING TO A REPORT OF REUTERS.
ISRAELI MEDICS SAID THE ARMY HAD SUFFERED HEAVY CASUALTIES IN THE FIGHTING IN SOUTH LEBANON. THERE WAS NO IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION FROM THE ISRAELI ARMY.
ISRAELI TROOPS HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN FIERCE FIGHTING WITH HIZBOLLAH IN BIN JBEIL OVER THE PAST TWO DAYS.
