Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri will visit Malaysia from July 27 to 28 to attend the 13th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) meeting, which will formally discuss the current Middle East situation, officials said. The ARF is a regional security arm of ASEAN and its objective is to promote security in the Asia-Pacific region through constructive dialogue between all regional and extra regional countries. It's members include ASEAN countries, the United States, China, Russia, EU, Mongolia, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste, Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. Bangladesh will become its member this year. On the sidelines, Kasuri will also have meetings with the Foreign Ministers of important countries including the USA, European Union, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh. The current Middle East situation will come up for discussion formally in the ARF meeting, as well as in the sideline meetings.
