The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz patronized here on Sunday a ceremony of laying foundation stones and the inauguration of a number of developmental projects in Taif Governorate. The projects belong to Ministries of Labor, Higher Education, Transport and Health. Upon arrival at the venue, the Monarch was received by the Governor of Taif Governorate Fahd bin Abdulaziz bin Muammar and a number of officials. A speech ceremony was held on this occasion. The Minister of Labor and Chairman of Board of Directors of General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training Dr.Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Qusaibi asked the Monarch to give a signal for launching the projects of Technology College, College of Hotel and Tourism, Female Higher Institute of Technology , and Vocational Training Institutes in Taif and Missan at a cost of nearly SR 300 million. In his speech, the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari thanked the King for announcing a world university specialized in a scientific research and technological development and his approval for calling it as ''King Abdullah University for Science and Technology.'' --More 23/07/2006 21:34 ت م
