The Armed Forces of Pakistan and Philippines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on training, exchange of visits and exchange of information to counter terrorism. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Chief of the Armed Forces of Philippines, General Generoso S. Senga, and Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Ehsanul Haq in Rawalpindi, according to an official statement. Major General Pedro Cesar C. Ramboanga, Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) of the Armed Forces of Philippines and Rear Admiral Azher Shamim Anwar, Director General Training, Joint Staff Headquarters signed the MoU. A large number of government officials including those from the Joint Staff Headquarters were also present on the occasion. Later, General. Generoso S. Senga, Chief of the Armed Forces of Philippines visited the General Headquarters and met Vice Chief of Army Staff General Ahsan Saleem Hyat. He remained with him for some time and discussed matters of professional interest.
