The ninth ministerial meeting of Iraq's neighboring countries was concluded here today. The final statement said that at the invitation of Iran, Foreign Ministers of Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Turkey held their ninth meeting here on July 8-9 to discuss the latest developments in Iraq after forming the permanent government and they reiterated their support for the current political process there. The meeting deliberations were opened by Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad and the meeting was attended by Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu; Secretary General of Arab League Amr Mousa; and UN Secretary General's Representative for Iraqi Affairs Ashraf Qadhi. The participants highlighted the regional and international conferences held over the Iraqi issue especially the eight conferences of Foreign Ministers of Iraq's Neighboring Countries and the two conferences of Interior Ministers of these countries in addition to Sharm el-Sheikh's and Brussels' conferences.
