MEXICAN VOTERS WENT TO THE POLLS SUNDAY TO ELECT A SUCCESSOR TO CURRENT PRESIDENT VICENTE FOX WHO IS DUE TO STAND DOWN IN DECEMBER, DPA REPORTED. APPROXIMATELY 71 MILLION PEOPLE WERE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE. INITIAL RESULTS ARE EXPECTED IN THE EARLY HOURS OF MONDAY.
