Laura Bush, the Wife of U.S. President George W.Bush has expressed happiness for the establishment the American-Middle East partnership for generating awareness and engaging in joint research works on chest cancer disease. The partnership will include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States. Mrs Bush, who was speaking in the presence of Princess Noaf bint Fahd bin Khalid Al-Saud, the wife of Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi ambassador to the US, said the joint work will boost cooperation in the field of cancer researches. She hailed the role being played by the Cancer Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in the field of researches, training and awareness. Laura Bush also underlined the importance of establishing a tumors research center in the UAE. On her part, Princess Noaf bint Fahd bin Khalid al-Saud expressed happiness for participation in the initiative of the American-Middle East partnership in the field of awareness and cancer researches. In a statement to SPA, she highlighted the big strides made by the Kingdom in the health sector. She pointed out that such initiatives will positively contribute to further enhancing ties between the Kingdom and the US.
