Ministers of Finance and Economy of the member countries of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held here today a joint meeting with the European Union trade commissioner, Peter Mandelson to review issues pertaining to establishment of a free trade zone between the two parties. UAE'S Finance and Industry Minister Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum said the GCC states have shown flexibility to bring about success of negotiations. He noted that the joint meeting has reiterated the importance of enhancing relations between the GCC states and the EU countries. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
