Ministers in charge of labor affairs from all over the world gathered in Geneva for the 95th session of the International Labor Conference which is held from May 31 to June 16, 2006. Minister of Labor Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Gosaibi leads Saudi delegation to the meeting. Today on the fringes of the conference, labor ministers of the member states of the Riyadh-based Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a consultative meeting to coordinate positions and orchestrate view points on the issues on the international conference's agenda. Ali Al-Ka'abi, UAE Minister of Labor and GCC labor ministers rotating president, addressed the conference on behalf of his GCC colleagues. On the other hand, Al-Gosaibi held a number of meetings on the sidelines of the conference with some Arab and Islamic and friendly ministers of labor. Meanwhile, Dr. Abdulwahab Attar, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations in Geneva held a reception party in honor of Al-Gosaibi and accompanying delegation.
