Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Co. (Sasref) recently signed two major contracts for Phase II of the Refinery Instrumentation Master Plan Projects. Sasref signed the contracts with Petrocon Arabia Ltd. (PAL) and Yokogawa Middle East (YME). In a signing ceremony attended by executives from the three companies and Sasref project management staff, Mohammad A. Al-Omair, Sasref's president and managing director; Gordon Cowe, Petrocon Arabia Ltd.'s director for Saudi Arabia; and Akira Ogawa, president and CEO of Yokogawa Middle East, signed the contract on behalf of their companies. PAL will serve as the engineering, procurement and construction management contractor and YME as the main automation contractor. --MORE
