THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL (GCC) ABDULRAHMAN BIN HAMAD AL-ATIYYAH HELD HERE TODAY A PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GCC FOUNDATION. HE NOTED THAT THE CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES KING ABDULLAH BIN ABDULAZIZ AND THE GCC LEADERS ARE KEEN ON ACTIVATING COOPERATION WITH YEMEN, REHABILITATION OF THE YEMENI ECONOMY AND ITS INTEGRATION IN THEIR ECONOMIES. AL-ATIYYAH STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF IRAQ'S STABILITY AND SECURITY TO THE GCC STATES. ON IRAN'S NUCLEAR FILE, HE SAID THAT THE GCC COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN IN THE VANGUARD FOR THE NECESSITY OF GIVING MORE ROOM FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES OF A DIPLOMATIC DIALOGUE TO REACH A POLITICAL SETTLEMENT OF THIS STALEMATE.
